Telling the time to 5 minutes

I was learning to tell the time.  I learnt that it goes 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and so we count up in our fives.  It was easy to tell the time because I already knew how to count in fives.

We were learning to persuade the Gingerbread man and the Fox.  Now I know that you have to ask really politely and add detail by giving a reason.  It was tricky because you needed to finish in time and you need to write reasons then you have to write them down before you write the letter.

I was learning make inferences and find clues.  Now I know that I can look at the picture and think about what happened to figure things out.

Using direct speech

I was learning to use direct speech.  Now  I know that we use speech marks.  I liked writing about the bear because the snowman got smushed by the boulder.

I was learning to add in tens.   Now I  know I need to split number in tens and ones.  It was easy because it was easy to count in tens.

We were describing Red Riding hood by using a picture. 

Making compound sentences

Reflection
I was learning to make compound sentences.  Now I know this means making your sentence longer with 'and'.  It was tricky to use different joining words.

Counting on and back

Reflection
I was learning to count on and back from the bigger number.  Now I know that you need to start counting from the first number that you say out loud.  It was tricky because sometimes I counted from the wrong number.

Sounding out 3 letter words

 I   was learning to sound out 3 letter words. Now I know if  I don't  know the word I could go to the next word  or  I  could sound the first letter last  letter  and  middle  letter.

I was learning to make numbers into tens and ones. It was easy because you just need to count how many tens and ones there are with your fingers.

I  was  learning  to   under stand  the  story.
I   know I need to  read  it  and  answer  the  question.
It  was  easy  to  look  for  the  answers  in  the  book.

Blend sounds

l was learning to spell blend sounds. I can spell the sp and I can spell the bl. It was easy to spell the bl sound.
